Tips and Tricks to get the very best Charleston area vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Charleston rental home:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Charleston area area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Close to King St-Historic Charm has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's an individual Charleston area beach you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
