As you walk down the driveway toward the Duncan House, you're welcomed by its inviting piazzas, a quintessential architectural feature in Charleston. Here, you can relax, savor the breeze, engage in conversation with appreciated ones, and then step inside.

This three-story bungalow's living and dining areas are located on the ground floor. Upon entering through the front door, you'll find a beautiful living space adorned with comfortable seating for six on the sectional and adjacent chairs, a sizable flat-screen TV, and access to the ground floor piazza, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living—a ideal setting for entertaining your group between activities. Continuing into the open-plan layout, you'll discover the dining area and kitchen. A cavernous wooden high-top table with seating for six welcomes you, leading to the classic-style open kitchen. Equipped with a deep farmhouse sink and modern stainless-steel appliances, the kitchen is an ideal spot for group gatherings, whether you're cooking up a gourmet meal or inviting a private chef to take the culinary reins. Additionally, on this floor, you'll find a convenient half bath and a laundry closet just off the dining area.

Ascending to the second floor, you'll encounter two of the three bedrooms. Each bedroom features a full-size bed, a closet, and private access to the second-floor piazza. A "Jack and Jill" style bathroom connects the two bedrooms, boasting ample natural light, a tiled walk-in shower, and a pedestal sink.

On the third and final floor of the residence lies the master suite—a roomy getaway offering all the comfort and privacy one could want. Ideal for guests needing to work remotely, the master suite features a sizable work desk. Tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • To find the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Charleston area restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental home:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Revival St Collection has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If there's a specific Charleston area attraction you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
