How to get the best Charleston vacation rental experience:
When to book a Charleston area rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in Charleston. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. The Edisto River Complex- 4 Condo Complex has 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
