Tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer time is high season in Isle of Palms. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Charleston area attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Charleston area area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Serenity- 2 50th~ One of a kind Oceanfront Master Piece, Pool\/Hot Tub has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
