Make yourself at home at this traditional, early 1800s two-story home near the heart of Charleston! It's been remodeled and thoughtfully decorated to provide guests with the best lodging experience while maintaining some classic Charleston appeal. The staircase is original which does mean that the steps are a little narrow and worn, but still striking! On the first level, you'll come across two bedrooms with one desk and TV each, a half bathroom, a dining room, an on-site washer/dryer, and a entirely-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Double porches to watch the world go by or to relax on after a long day with a good book. As you climb up the stairs, you'll come across two bedrooms (one with an ensuite full bathroom), a working space made up of a desk, an inviting living room with a sizable TV, a full bathroom, and another bedroom.
This impressive home is conveniently located in downtown's East Side neighborhood and only three blocks from King Street and you can walk to just about everything downtown has to offer. You're within walking distance from eateries and all of the city's best watering holes. The Charleston Farmers Market is less than one mile away; it's a must-visit and the ideal place to experience the southern charm. It's open every day from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. History buffs won't believe their eyes once they realize all the historical landmarks, museums, art galleries, and historical hot spots they can find within walking distance.

Tips to get the very best rental home experience:
When to visit Charleston & When to reserve a rental home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Charleston. Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Charleston area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
How to choose and book your prefect Charleston area rental:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Renovated two-story home in Charleston with private yard - 30-day rental has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
