Make yourself at home at this traditional, early 1800s two-story home near the heart of Charleston! It's been modernized and thoughtfully decorated to provide guests with the best lodging experience while maintaining some classic Charleston appeal. The staircase is original which does mean that the steps are a little narrow and worn, but still striking! On the first level, you'll come across two bedrooms with one desk and TV each, a half bathroom, a dining room, an on-site washer/dryer, and a entirely-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Double porches to watch the world go by or to relax on after a long day with a good book. As you climb up the stairs, you'll come across two bedrooms (one with an ensuite full bathroom), a working space made up of a desk, an inviting living room with a huge TV, a full bathroom, and another bedroom.
This gorgeous home is conveniently located in downtown's East Side neighborhood and only three blocks from King Street and you can walk to just about everything downtown has to offer. You're within walking distance from eateries and all of the city's best watering holes. It's open every day from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. History buffs won't believe their eyes once they realize all the historical landmarks, museums, art galleries, and historical hot spots they can find within walking distance.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Charleston area vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Renovated two-story home in Charleston with private yard - 30-day rental has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your group.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
During your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
