This welcoming two-bedroom, two-bath apartment offers visitors convenient access to all that Charleston has to offer. Located on the third floor of a historic Charleston single home constructed in the late 1800s, and set back from the street with one off-street parking spot, the apartment overlooks candy-colored historic homes that dot the neighborhood and provides a true Charleston experience for guests. Easily walkable to MUSC, College of Charleston, King Street’s most fashionable retail and eateries, & more.
The apartment newly underwent a full remodel, finished in spring 2018. Measuring around 700 square feet, the apartment offers two bedrooms featuring premium linens and two en-suite bathrooms with shower. Thoughtful care has been put into crafting a clean and efficient space that offers all of the amenities of a boutique hotel (bath products, high-end towels and linens, hair dryers, iron, wi-fi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full, chef-ready kitchen, washer/dryer, and a classic Charleston single-style porch for appreciating the nearly year-round comfortable temperatures Charleston offers its visitors. The property accepts for two off-street parking spaces directly in front of the apartment. This apartment is on the top floor of the three-story property. The home features two additional units - one, a garden level apartment, and the other on the first floor - that can be rented in conjunction with this apartment for bigger groups. Please inquire if interested.
Guests can access all spaces in the rental and have their own private porch out front.
We are readily available to assist guests as needed. We can be reached at (843)277-0272.
This apartment is appealingly located in a protected historic district in the middle of downtown, a 5 min. walk to Upper King Street, surrounded by marvelous eateries and shopping. Walk or uber anywhere downtown in mins. or grab an uber to one of the three island beaches that are only 15 mins. away.
We are only 3 blocks from Upper King Street, so most guests prefer to walk and discover the city. The beach is 15 mins. away by car. Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
Get the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Charleston area area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Charleston area area:
- First, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 2BR Historic, Comfortable & Walkable Downtown Apt has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
