Please be aware that this historical home may require additional considerations. Due to its age and historical significance, the insulation may not meet modern standards. As a result, during extremely hot months, the HVAC system may struggle to keep up with cooling demands. We want to provide full transparency and disclose this information, ensuring you are well-informed before making your decision.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Charleston area vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Charleston area rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Charming Suite in the Heart of Charleston has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Charleston area beach you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
