Booking the best Charleston area rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer is high season in Charleston. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Charleston area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Charleston area rental home:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • 1 Block from King St has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Charleston area attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
