Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Isle of Palms vacation home experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summer months are high season in Isle of Palms. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Charleston area restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Charleston area area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental in Isle of Palms:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 3C Mariners Walk by AvantStay
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a specific Charleston area attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
