Summary:
This welcoming one-bedroom, one-bath apartment offers visitors convenient access to all that Charleston offers. Located on the middle floor of a historic Charleston single home constructed in the late 1800s, and set back from the street with off-street parking, the apartment overlooks candy-colored historic homes that dot the neighborhood and provides a true Charleston experience for guests. Easily walkable to MUSC, College of Charleston, King Street’s most trendy retail and eateries, & more.

The Space:
COVID-19 Note: This space is ideal for 2020. Spread out on your private porch. No shared surfaces and spaces, a gorgeous porch and complimentary parking.

The apartment freshly underwent a full remodel, finished in spring 2018. Measuring around 500 square feet, the apartment offers one bedroom featuring premium linens and a bathroom with shower. Thoughtful care has been put into crafting a clean and efficient space that offers all of the amenities of a boutique hotel (bath products, high-end towels and linens, hair dryers, iron, wi-fi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full, chef-ready kitchen, washer/dryer, and a classic Charleston single-style porch for appreciating the nearly year-round comfortable temperatures Charleston offers its visitors.

The property accepts for one off-street parking space directly in front of the apartment.

This apartment is on the middle floor of the three-story property. The home features two additional units - one, a garden level apartment, and the other on the top floor - that can be rented in conjunction with this apartment for bigger groups. Please inquire if interested.

Note: This listing is only available during the week. On the weekend, two additional bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms are unlocked and it is available as a 3 BR / 3 BA.

This is a relatively new listing, but this rental has operated solely as a 3 BR for numerous years and is a 5 star property.

Getting Around:
Charleston is a walking town. Most guests don't need a car and use Uber or Lyft when needed, but we do have complimentary parking. Biking is also fashionable, as well as pedicabs.

Other Things to Note:
There are no shared surfaces or spaces. We are a family owned and operated business and care very much for our guests experience. We are available to help with recommendations and planning.

Interaction with Guests:

Getting the best Charleston vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Charleston. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Charleston area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. 1BR Chic, Comfortable, Walkable and Ideal for 2024 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
