Tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, change your family's Charleston area trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Charleston:

- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. ? THE INNS ? Beautiful 6BR \/ 6BA - Walk to King! has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.

- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home.
