The Lodge Alley Inn will take you back in time as you walk past 18th century styled buildings, but don't fret because the amenities of today's modern world have been infused to give you the best of both points in time. The mellow and calming environment will make your stay a most pleasurable one!



The decor in the unit compliments your environment very well and the rich pastel colors will set the tone for a relaxing stay. The conveniences in the unit will make you feel right at home as you will have a full kitchen and laundry facilities on-site.

Valet: $50 per nighttime. Self-park: Public parking at 1 Cumberland St.=$2/hour, $18/day with no moving, or metered street parking.



We cannot guarantee unit placement. Our historic buildings home many unique units, some requiring stairs. Downtown noise is unavoidable, but we do offer white-noise machines, ear plugs, and box fans. No daily maid service, but towel exchange is available. 7+ nighttime stays have a mid-week cleaning option.

Located near the beach, this resort is in Downtown Charleston, a neighborhood in Charleston. Charleston City Market is worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's popular attractions can visit South Carolina Aquarium and Patriots Point. Charleston Museum and Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as swimming and other activities like golfing.

Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review.
