You are welcome to stay in our roomy two bedroom first floor apartment that we have carefully furnished to meet the needs of both the enjoyment and business traveler. We are experienced travelers ourselves and have sought to recreate the amenities we have so appreciated in our own adventures. We are located in downtown peninsular Charleston close enough to walk to much of the celebrated food and nightlife but far enough away to not feel it creeping up on you when you want to relax.
You will have complete access to the apartment via keypad code and will be able to come and go as you please. Please note that this is the first floor apartment of a duplex. My husband and I live in the upstairs apartment with our two school age kids. When they are home you will hear them above you, mostly in the afternoons when they get home from school. Most guests say that turning on the fan or the white noise machine in the morning helps drown out any sound. However, if you are sensitive to noise this might not be the place for you.
About the Area
North-Central, a neighborhood in Charleston, is home to this apartment. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Waterfront Park and Front Beach, while Patriots Point and USS Yorktown are cultural highlights. Check out an event or a game at North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, and consider making time for South Carolina Aquarium, a top attraction not to be missed.

Strategies to get the perfect Charleston vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Charleston area area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best vacation rental in Charleston:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Stylish Mid-Century Getaway in Trendy Neighborhood has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
