Isle of Palms rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Charleston area attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Charleston area area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. STUNNING Oceanfront Home! Golf & Ocean Views, Hot Tub, Golf Cart, Pool Access! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
