Charleston is one of the most fashionable vacation destinations in the South. From history and dining to shopping and sightseeing, there's something to do around every corner of the city. Located in the heart of the city along Upper King Street, the resort is within walking distance of award-winning eateries, art galleries, great shopping and more. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride along cobblestone streets past stately and lovingly-preserved antebellum mansions and graceful gardens. Shop for antiques, savor lunch at a tavern dating back to the Revolution or walk down to Waterfront Park to view Fort Sumter still guarding the harbor–the first shots of the Civil War were fired here.
The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.
Other Notes: There are no laundry facilities onsite or in units

Strategies for getting the best Charleston area vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the largest rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Charleston area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. King Street Boutique Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
