The Space:

The two bedrooms each have their own full bath. With tasteful decor and ample space, you'll feel right at home in this well-appointed abode. Savor the convenience of a garage with plenty of storage space, entirely supplied open floor-plan kitchen and living, and comfortable beds with high-quality linens. Plus, take advantage of the fast WiFi, ideal for streaming your favorite shows. There is a separate desk/sitting area outside the master suite, which is very nice for working. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, you'll find tranquility and relaxation while being located just a short drive from the city's attractions, this cavernous getaway offers simple access to all that Charleston has to offer.

•We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts in advance. If the home happens to be ready earlier than our standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, we, in most cases will allow an early check-in. For a reliable alternative with guaranteed check-in or check-out timing, it's recommended to book the nighttime before or after your scheduled arrival or departure.

The Neighborhood:
Very peaceful the entire time, no noise from the street or neighbors. Enchanting neighborhood in which you can appreciate walking around in the morning and evenings.

Getting Around:
The listing is about 10 mins. from downtown, 10 mins. from the coast and 20 mins. from Charleston International Airport, which makes it the ideal location for exploring.

Other Things to Note:
- Pack n Plays or highchairs must be requested prior to arrival.
- Family Animals are allowed at this home with manager's approval at a rate of $150 per stay (2 pet max). If undisclosed family pets are brought into the home without Portoro’s approval, there will be a cleaning charge of $500. Owner must pick up after dogs - no exceptions.
- If a Mandatory Evacuation Order for Charleston County is given during the dates of your stay, The Owner/Host or the Property Management Company shall refund 100% of all deposits, payments and/or monies paid by the traveler within 72 hours.
- Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no further liability with respect to the Reservation.
- Please note that if there is inclement weather in the other 49 states, prohibiting the traveler (or guests in traveler’s group) from getting to Charleston, a refund will not be issued and, Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no liability with respect to the Reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly suggest travelers obtain insurance.

Portoro offers self-check-in. As your hosts, Portoro will be available to answer any questions you may have about the home or the surrounding area. Guests will have access via an electronic intelligent lock and the access code will be included prior to your arrival.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Wagener Terrace, a neighborhood in Charleston. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Waterfront Park and Riverfront Park, while South Carolina Aquarium and Patriots Point are popular area attractions. Check out an event or a game at North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, and consider making time for USS Yorktown, a top attraction not to be missed.

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summertime is high season in the Charleston area area. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
