- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.

- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Oceanfront Home w\/Incredible Views has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.

Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
