- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.

- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
