The Space:
The Mediterranean Palm is part of the Palm Club - a collection of 7 vacation villas, each with tropical setting. This unit is an ADA compliant, single floor vacation villa unlike any other in the heart of downtown.

The Mediterranean Palm at The Palm Club accommodates up to 12 guests between 4 bedrooms, 4 baths.

Each Town & Island Co. unit is equipped with coded locks and unique codes that are changed regularly. You will receive all important check-in information 3 days prior to arrival.

This 2-acre private membership club located in downtown Charleston is a modern getaway offering resort-style amenities and a Bali-Tulum-inspired ambiance unparalleled on the peninsula.

Refresh and relax at the Jr. Olympic pool complete with pool-side cabanas or savor the onsite eateries offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trendy beverages. Guests can also enjoy an indoor gym and exercise studio with daily classes, a recovery room full of spa therapies, private and shared workspaces, live music, and an active calendar of social events.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the campus. Please note, all exercise classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost.

While theft is rare Charleston is a city and we encourage guests to ensure their cars are locked and all valuables have been removed.

Town & Island Co. welcomes all our furry companions. There is a $75 non returnable pet fee. You are responsible to inform us you are traveling with your pet(s), so we can add this charge to your booking. Please note: If upon check out, we see evidence of an unregistered pet, the $75 pet fee will be taken out of your SD authorization hold.
We ask guests traveling with their family pets to not allow them on any furnishings to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our human centered spaces. **no pets on furnishings and beds**

*Severe Weather Policy*

Our severe weather and Extenuating Circumstances: Hurricane Policy is as follows:

If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor of SC specifically for the county in which your property is located for the dates of your stay, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect. In this case we WILL refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest and we shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation.

However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued by the Governor of SC, then the standard cancellation policy will still apply and no refund will be issued. This is the case even if the guest chooses to cancel or travel is disrupted due to the storm.

Additionally, if there is adverse weather phenomenon outside of Charleston or SC (ie. other regions of the US or abroad) during the dates of the guests' stay which hinders the guests from traveling to the property, the standard cancellation policy will still apply. Therefore, a refund will NOT be issued.

***ATTENTION***
Hurricane season is during the months of June-November. During this time we HIGHLY recommend guests research and purchase travel insurance.

  • In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.

Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
