The neighborhood is ideal for a couple or a group who is looking to entirely embrace Charleston's unique appeal. Step right outside your door and find a wonderfully curated mix of stores, bars, bakeries, and dining. We recommend grabbing a coffee at Island Provisions before exploring King Street, Charleston's ultimate epicenter of stores and eateries, which is just one short block from the property. Our guests have a wide selection of walkable dinner options, some of our favorites include Chez Nous, Chubby Fish, Bistronomy by Nico, and Vern's. Come experience all that our striking city has to offer!

Charleston is a walking city! Uber is widely available. If guests do have a car, we provide ONE (1) off-street parking space. We suggest to bring an economy size car to help with getting around Charleston's narrow downtown streets.

Strategies to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summer is high season in Charleston. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Charleston area restaurants and activities.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Charleston area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning, selecting, and booking the right Charleston area rental:
- First and foremost, have your group choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Contemporary Open Loft Apartment Downtown has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
