QUIET HOURS
Please note that this listing is located on the top floor of a gorgeously restored historic duplex. Although broad renovations have been carried out, it is possible to hear occasional noise from the unit below. To ensure a relaxing and comfortable environment, sound machines have been thoughtfully included in each bedroom. We kindly request that all guests show consideration towards one another by honoring our community's designated "peaceful hours" between 10pm and 7am. By being mindful of noise levels during these times, we can maintain a harmonious atmosphere and ensure a restful stay for everybody.

Vacation rental booking tips:
How to get the best value:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. ?Downtown Duplex w\/Porch, Yard + FREE Parking has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Charleston area attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
