- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Charleston area area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself.
