Spend the day with Dogfish Charters and find out what the fishing in Charleston is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Bryan can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using light tackle.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your boat for the day is a 19’ MayCraft center console with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don’t leave home without sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. Bottled water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Dogfish Charters!
