Ready to cast a line in Mount Pleasant? Make it happen, with Low Country Offshore Fishing!
Species like Mahi Mahi, Cobia, King Mackerel, Amberjack, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Mutton Snapper, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard a 32’ Contender center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
