Summary:
Slide into the heart of Charleston like you own the place with Casa Zoë, your VIP pass to the city’s thrumming pulse, right where the action is—on the most elite street and on the best block in the Short Term Overlay District. But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic getaway vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair.
The Space:
Welcome to Casa Zoë's Royal Cottage I, where boho-chic isn't just a style, it's a way of life, framed by the iconic glamour of Slim Aarons art. This jewel is perched in the heartbeat of Charleston, a skip away from the culinary wizardry of James Beard-awarded eateries, the sweet temptations of Sugar Bakeshop 3 doors down, and the smoky seduction of South Bound across the street, where the open fire kitchen meets a bar so sexy, it could write its own romance novel. Not to mention, you're surrounded by boutique shopping that could comfortably turn a leisurely walk into an all-day affair.
This 4BR, 5BA masterpiece, where every inch screams "design goals" and every room whispers tales of Slim Aarons' poolside glam. It's like living in a Pinterest board come to life, but with way better stories. This isn't just a crash pad; it's a boho-chic sanctuary located in Charleston’s heartbeat, where refinement and whimsy split an iced tea and can't agree on the sugar.
From the granite-drenched bathrooms that'll make your selfies 100% more glamorous, to a kitchen so equipped, it could host its own cooking show (Smeg appliances included, because we're fancy like that), this space was designed for those who laugh in the face of ordinary. Bedrooms? We've got four, each with its own ensuite, because queueing for bathrooms is so last season. And for the culinary inclined or caffeine-dependent, we've thrown in everything but the kitchen sink—though, of course, there’s one of those too, and it’s pretty swanky.
Just a saunter away from Charleston’s culinary and shopping nirvana, you're ideally placed to dive into the city's vibrant scene—or just people-watch with a locally roasted coffee in hand. Whether you’re crashing in one of the queen beds or the Instagram worthy luxey bunk beds (because why should kids have all the fun?), this space promises not just a stay but a story. So come for the luxury, stay for the laughs, and leave with plans to return. Casa Zoë is calling.
The Neighborhood:
Perched on Cannon Street, smack dab in Downtown Charleston's hip design district, you're a hop, skip, and a jump from the city's tastiest haunts. Fancy a culinary adventure? The Grocery, SouthBound, and The Ordinary are just a leisurely stroll away, close enough to smell the aromas but far enough to justify dessert. Craving a morning sugar rush? Sugar Bakeshop is practically your next-door neighbor. And for a sandwich that'll make you feel like part of the family, Ladles is right across the street, serving up the kind of comfort food that hugs you from the inside. Welcome to the neighborhood where good eats are a local sport and your taste buds are the MVP.
Getting Around:
Step lively or tap your app—around here, you're never stuck. Take a leisurely walk to local gems or catch an Uber in a snap for beach trips and city adventures. With everything just a wander away, and rides aplenty, you're set for the painless life in this walker's heaven. Convenience is king, and you're wearing the crown!
Other Things to Note:
Casa Zoë guests get exclusive access to The Wonderer Charleston, a private 2-acre getaway downtown with a pool, eateries, bars, cabanas, a gym, spa therapies, workspaces, live music, and social events. It's an adult-only club with a Bali-Tulum vibe. Note: Day passes are first-come, first-serve, and booking ahead is advised for visits between April 15th - September 1st. Groups over 8 need approval and may need to rent a cabana. The Club's entry age is 25, with exceptions for members' guests or special permissions. Check for age limits at special events.
*Please also note that Bennett Holdings, LLC is not the same company as The Wonderer and offers this as an added perk. If access is not granted to the Wonderer during your stay due to availability, no inconvenience credits will be awarded, and any issues related to your visit at The Wonderer must be directed exclusively to The Wonderer staff.*

Strategies to get the best Charleston vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Charleston area area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Charleston area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Royal Cottage I at Casa Zoë: Chic & Brand New has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More considerations:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
