Summary:
Casa Zoë was newly profiled by Condé Nast! Slide into the heart of Charleston like you own the place with Casa Zoë, your VIP pass to the city’s thrumming pulse, right where the action is—on the most elite street and on the best block in the Short Term Overlay District. But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic getaway vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair.

The Space:
Blue Cottage at Casa Zoë – Charleston's freshly revamped slice of heaven on Cannon Street. This isn't just any 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom abode; it's your private sanctuary with a porch and courtyard that may have more appeal than a Southern belle at a garden event. And guess what? You won't have to deal with the drama of condo neighbors. It's all yours, top to bottom and so is your bathroom - ensuite because sharing bathrooms is so last year.

Step through the door and be greeted by a remodel that screams chic sophistication. We're talking King beds that you'll want to sink into and never leave, furnishings so beautiful it should be on a runway, and walls graced with Slim Aarons' artwork that'll transport you to a world of vintage glamour. The kitchen? A granite masterpiece where even your morning coffee feels like a luxury.

Located in the heart of Downtown Charleston's design district, the Blue Cottage puts you in the VIP section of the city’s culinary scene. You're just a saunter away from establishments dripping with James Beard accolades and local joints like Fuel, Xiao Bao Biscuit, South Bound, and The Ordinary that'll have your taste buds singing praises. And for your sugar fix, Sugar Bakeshop is practically your next-door sweetheart.

Inside, the blend of old-world charm and new-world lux is downright intoxicating. Think wood floors with stories to tell, historic fireplaces that are all show and sophistication, and light-flooded rooms that make you feel like the main character in a chic indie film. Add in a high-def TV, a washer/dryer setup that makes chores look chic, and that outdoor space begging for your attention, and you've got the recipe for an memorable stay.

From the dreamy beds to the granite kitchen, every inch of Blue Cottage has been curated for your indulgence. With off-street parking to boot, this isn’t just a place to crash—it’s your personal Charleston getaway, oozing sass and class in equal measure. Welcome home, darling. It's going to be a marvelous stay.

Guest Access:
There is one off street parking space for the Blue Cottage.

The Neighborhood:
Cannon-Elliotborough embodies the quintessential Charleston charm: a blend of fine dining, cozy cafes, vibrant bars, and one-of-a-kind stores that echo the quirkiness of an eccentric relative. With its streets inviting leisurely strolls, you'll navigate the neighborhood like a seasoned local, stumbling upon hidden gems at every corner. Positioned just moments from the bustling energy of King Street, it strikes a ideal balance between a relaxing getaway and the city's dynamic rhythm. For those seeking an authentic Charleston experience, Cannon-Elliotborough is the place to be—it captures the city's vibrant essence in a way that's lively yet pleasantly subdued.

Getting Around:
Step lively or tap your app—around here, you're never stuck. Take a leisurely walk to local gems or catch an Uber in a snap for beach trips and city adventures. With everything just a wander away, and rides aplenty, you're set for the painless life in this walker's heaven. Convenience is king, and you're wearing the crown!

Other Things to Note:
Casa Zoë guests get exclusive access to The Wonderer Charleston, a private 2-acre getaway downtown with a pool, eateries, bars, cabanas, a gym, spa therapies, workspaces, live music, and social events. It's an adult-only club with a Bali-Tulum vibe. Note: Day passes are first-come, first-serve, and booking ahead is advised for visits between April 15th - September 1st. Groups over 8 need approval and may need to rent a cabana. The Club's entry age is 25, with exceptions for members' guests or special permissions. Check for age limits at special events. Upon Booking we will send you the CODE.

Please note that Bennett Holdings, LLC and The Wonderer are distinct companies. Access to The Wonderer is a additional and subject to availability; we cannot offer credits if access is denied. For any concerns at The Wonderer, please contact their staff directly.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Charleston rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Charleston area area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking a perfectrental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Blue Cottage
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
