Strategies to get the best Charleston area vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Charleston area area. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Brandy Crusta has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
