How to get the best Charleston area rental home experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- In the Charleston area area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To get the best value, try shifting your family's Charleston area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking your prefectrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Historic Home Monthly Rental with Fabulous Piazza has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Charleston area attraction you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
