If fishing in Charleston is on your bucket list, look no further than Coastal Addiction Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Matt can tell you all about them.
These waters hold game fish like Bonito, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Flounder, Scamp Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Redfish, Sailfish, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Mutton Snapper, and more, depending on the season.
On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Matt can also take you Flounder gigging.
Trips with Double Trouble Fishing Charters are great for kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks!
Capt. Matt will bring you aboard a 28’ Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Double Trouble Fishing Charters.
