There’s a fish with your name on it in Charleston, and the captain and crew aboard the Wahoo will help you catch it!
These waters are known for Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Marlin, Tuna, Grouper, and more. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Feel free to take home any fish you catch within size and bag limits. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Hop aboard the Wahoo, a 48’ Offshore sport fishing that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water, and a toilet on board. Her incredibly clean prop wash allows for optimal Billfish and Mahi sightlines, which explains her excellent fishing-raising reputation. The Wahoo has been one of Charleston’s busiest offshore charter boats for over a decade.
Your captain will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Planning a family adventure? Kids are welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish and make the most of your trip. It’s customary to tip the Mate 20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation. It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), snacks, drinks, and sunglasses.
